Early Access

Why Early Access?

Super High Ball is developed by only one passionate guy in his free time. It is my first game, and the Early Access is a way for me to get feedback on what I have been working on since the last five years.
The Early Access will help me to make progress in the rest of the development, adjusting what the game is, and defining what the game will be.
The community feedback will help to work on the right things moving forward.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

I will be working on Super High Ball until it reaches a state I am happy with. I already know what I will not be adding to the game and what I will add.
If the community request some features, I will, of course, think about it, and this might extend the period of Early Access.
As for now, I am planning to leave Early Access by the end of 2020.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

Many elements of this Early Access are due to change, music, UI/UX or Sound Effects, for example.
I am currently seeking what players think about the game; I will re-work some levels design and balance the difficulty (based on some play-test, it comes out that the game is challenging, this is what I wanted, but I need more opinions on this).

What will change through the updates:
 • Difficulty balancing.
 • Work on UI/UX.
 • Work on the music and sound effects.
 • More levels (I am planning to add three new Zones).
 • More ball customisation.
 • More gameplay mechanics.

What might be added:
 • More Zones.
 • Extra difficulty for existing levels (like a dark side of each level).
 • New game modes.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

I have reached a point where the game is ready to be played, it is "hopefully" fun, and it does reflect what I wanted Super High Ball to be. Saying that, the game has not been tested on a lot of configuration so this version might come with glitches, bugs or crashes.

What is the state of Super High Ball:
 • Fun and challenging gameplay (yeah!).
 • Three playable Zones ( 3 Tutorials and 10 Levels).
 • Each Zones comes with new gameplay mechanics.
 • Each level comes with three challenges.
 • Some ball customization.
 • A set of game customization and settings.
 • Save game system.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

Yes I do expect the price of the full game to increase, as it will contain much more levels.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

The community will be able to give feedback and interact with me using a discord channel; the Twitter account is currently the best way to interact with me and get information about upcoming updates and announcements.
I might open a forum on the website.
The community could help on giving feedback on the game itself, the technical issues, and share any ideas.

 • Discord.
 • Twitter.
